Without we even realize....opportunities come and go in our life...
They are not as obvious as we have thought before, especially if we are not sensitive enough in detecting them.
But...yeah, they are precious things that are just too valuable to be ignored. We need to identify, manage, and use those opportunities to make ourselves grow. And of course...to make the people around us grow too...this self development has a huge potential to be spread to others, as long as we want to share and we always try to make other people to become a part of the development itself.
Sometimes we feel that we don't even have those opportunities, and we start blaming ourselves, or the worst part is when we start blaming others. This mindset is dangerous for us, especially if we have trapped in this for a long time.
There are some things that we can do to change our mindset and to become more sensitive to opportunities, some of them are:
1. Treat everything as an opportunity, not a threat.
Set a default in mind, that everything that comes in your life should be the best one for you. Don't start by rejections...these rejections could filter all of the best things in your life and you could be left with nothing.
2. Don't let the laziness block your mind.
Laziness is the biggest enemy. Don't justify yourself of not doing something because of any reasons...but deep in your heart, you know that the main reason is your own laziness...that blocks you from trying new challenges.
3. Keep making new friends and networks.
Friends are precious things in life. Maintain your relationships with your old friends and keep expanding to new ones. There will be a lot of new things that you can learn from having many friends with different perspectives, and in the end, they can also show new opportunities for you.
4. Don't get satisfied too early.
Stay hungry. Stay cautious. If you think that you are already settled in your current situation, never be satisfied, keep looking for new challenges and you'll be surprised by how much you can accomplish!
Again...opportunities are still coming to all of us, it's just a matter whether we can identify them or not. Keep searching and Good Luck!

Is it that tough to be a mom, and, a student?
Today I just got an exam..yup a real one!! It was my first exam after ages, and the subject is, sigh, Financial Accounting!! I prepared well, I think, and I admit that it was a tough course, especially for the students who haven't got any business background before..like me and one of my friend..
My friend, just like me, is a mom, and at the most important preparation days, which is the 2 days before the exam..her son was having fever..
Yup, the most challenging thing happened to her, her son could not sleep, she could not study, and her husband could not help her taking care of the son because he was too tired after working until late...
Mmm.. Is it that tough to be a mom, and, a student?
Actually, yes....If you don't have anyone..You should do everything by yourself.. taking care of your child, cooking for your family, serving your husband, doing all of your assignments, and studying before the exam.
But, remember, a mom also has her family, her friends, and the teachers at the child's school/day care. A mom can distribute the loads, to her relatives, to the child's teacher, and to her friends, of course.
Teaching a child to be independent is quite challenging, but it is still possible. A mom who is also a student can gradually train her child to be more independent, by giving the child more and more responsibilities to take care of himself', and telling him that you have something to do except spending all of your time with him. Yup I know it's hard, but if you do it slowly and gradually, the child will understand.
There are quite a lot of friends in school who do not have a child yet. A mom can survive by doing assignments in groups. And before the exam? Doing a group study meeting will be great! It will save your time, your energy, and there is a higher possibility that this study meeting will produce a higher result.
After knowing that the child could be sick, a mom should have contingency plans. Do review the courses everytime you can, do not wait until the last minute to finish the assignment or to prepare for the exam. The more you do the review, the more prepared you are, the more familiar you are with the lecture, and the more ready you are to face any uncertainties, for example, when your child is sick.
So, yes, being a mom and also a student is a tough job, but....it is not the end of the world dear, you can work on it, and your friends and your family will be there to help you.
